Hide or disable Angle temporarily

Temporarily hide Angle from your storefront when needed.

You can temporarily hide Angle from your storefront when you need to test your theme, resolve a layout issue, or pause the shopper-facing experience.

Option 1: Turn off Angle in Settings

Open Angle and go to Settings.

Look for the setting that controls whether the widget is enabled on your storefront.

After changing the setting, save and refresh your storefront.

Option 2: Turn off the Shopify app embed

You can also turn off Angle from your Shopify theme editor.

From Shopify admin:

  1. Go to Online Store
  2. Open Themes
  3. Find the theme shoppers use
  4. Click Customize
  5. Open App embeds
  6. Turn off Angle
  7. Click Save

This removes the Angle Agent from that theme until you turn the app embed back on.

When to use this

Temporarily hiding Angle can help when:

  • You are testing a theme change
  • The launcher overlaps another app
  • You need to check mobile placement
  • You are updating training content before going live

Before you leave it off

If you turn Angle off, shoppers will not be able to use the Angle Agent on your storefront.

Before leaving it off for a long time, check whether a position or z-index change in Settings would solve the issue instead.
