What data Angle uses

See what store data Angle uses to answer shoppers.

Angle uses your Shopify store data to answer shopper questions and recommend products.

This article explains the main information Angle uses and why it matters.

Product catalog

Angle learns from your Shopify product catalog.

This can include:

  • Product titles
  • Product descriptions
  • Variants
  • Tags
  • Collections
  • Images
  • Availability details
  • Other product information available from Shopify

This helps the Angle Agent answer product questions, compare options, and recommend relevant products.

Knowledge Base content

Angle also learns from the content you add in the Knowledge Base.

Use the Knowledge Base for information that may not be clear from product pages alone, such as:

  • Shipping details
  • Return and exchange policies
  • Size guides
  • Product care instructions
  • Warranty information
  • Common shopper questions

Angle may also sync Shopify policy pages, such as refund, privacy, and terms pages, when those are available.

Shopper conversations

When shoppers use the Angle Agent, their questions and Angle's replies can appear in Conversations.

Use Conversations to review answer quality, understand common questions, and find gaps in your product or help content.

Order tracking

If order tracking is available, Angle may ask the shopper for order details so it can verify and help with the request.

Angle uses that information only for the order support flow.

What to keep updated

For the best answers, keep these areas accurate:

  • Shopify product information
  • Product availability
  • Store policies
  • Knowledge Base articles and Q&As
  • Playbook Rules

If a shopper asks something Angle cannot answer well, add the missing information to your Knowledge Base or update the related product in Shopify.
